April holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from Trent University and a B.Ed. from UOIT. She currently has a private practice as a Senior Behaviour Therapist, creating and supervising Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) programs for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the Greater Toronto Area. She’s also a Professor at Durham College in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Employment Services.
April’s completed area of MA research involved the use of mobile technology with children with autism spectrum disorder. She is interested in exploring how current user interface characteristics on mobile technology can be adapted to the characteristics of individuals with ASD.
