Robert Hickey is a Lecturer at the Technological University Dublin since 2002. His research interests include modes of learning across a broad range of disciplines within the workplace and study space of higher education. Through applied action research in apprenticeship, construction, business, engineering, and entrepreneurship education he has explored various aspects of pedagogy, andragogy and heutagogy, with a focus on accessibility and usability of technology in education.  At present he is actively researching the use of no grades and co-assessment as alternatives to a teacher led assessment strategy for both land based and online courses.
