Dr. Ulrich Rauch is the founding head of The Learning Centre at the University of Trinidad and Tobago where he and his team support professional development of instructors, the conceptualizing of new physical and virtual learning spaces, and most importantly, technology-supported teaching, learning and course development. Like many working in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, Ulrich does not come from a computing science background but moved sideways into the field of integrated technologies. His education is in Sociology. Prior to his appointment at the University of Trinidad & Tobago, Ulrich was the Director for Instructional Support and Information Technology in the Faculty of Arts, at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
